Phnom Penh

City has a good selection of swimming pools and even a go-kart track. Boat trips on the river should be a hit, but best of all is the nearby Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center, with tigers, sun bears and eleplants.

 Siem Reap

Cambodian cultural Village may be kitsch, but it's the right tonic after the temples. Hot-air balloons, helicopter rides, quad biking and horse riding round off the action-packed options.

 Temples of Angkor

The temples may be too much for little but will be appreciated by older children. Kids are amazed by the jungle roots of Ta Promh and the immense four-faced gates of Angkor Thom.

 South Coast

The beaches and Islands around Sihanouk Ville and Kep will be a big hit. The cave pagodas of KomPot will wow your wannabe Indiana Jones or Lara Croft.

 Eastern Cambodia
